Residential Options
Spectrum Community Services, Inc. provides multiple residential options depending on the wants, dreams and needs of the individual.
Community Group Homes
The Community Group Home offers 24 hour supervision in a "family-type" environment for individuals who would like to learn and develop skills necessary to achieve a greater level of independence. SCS offers supports customized to meet individual needs, desires and outcomes. Family members of individuals receiving services are encouraged to continue to play active roles. Services include:
- 24 hour staff supervision
- Coordination of educational, vocational, medical, mental health, social and financial services
- Advocacy
- Transportation and recreational activities
Supported Living
Supported Living is a residential option available to those individuals requiring less than 30 hours of staff support per week. These individuals reside in apartments or homes of their own and staff provides support to them as needed.
Life sharing Through Family Living
Life sharing, sometimes referred to as adult foster care, affords individuals the opportunity to live with a family or individual in the community. Spectrum thoroughly screens, trains, and supports families to ensure compatible matches and ongoing stability.
Respite Care
Respite Care gives families living with individuals with disabilities the opportunity to receive a break from the everyday routine that caring for a disabled person can create. Individuals are cared for in a community group home or with a private respite care provider.
